Freemark Abbey Winery
Freemark Abbey Winery traces its roots back to 1886, with a long lists of “firsts.” The first Napa Valley winery, on record, to be owned by a woman. One of the first wineries to open a “sampling room” for visitors in 1949. The first and only commemorative Super Bowl 50 wine for 2016. After learning more while sipping on Freemark Abbey wines, enjoy a boxed lunch at the winery from one of Napa Valley’s renowned gourmet food purveyors, Dean and Deluca.
Built in 1888, the Chateau is made of stone in the style of an English Gothic castle gatehouse – uncommon now, and even more uncommon in the 19th century. World-renowned for their victory at the Paris Tasting in 1976, there is much more to the role that Chateau Montelena has played in shaping Napa Valley’s history. Discover more while indulging in a tasting at this legendary winery.
