Freemark Abbey, originally established in 1886 by the first female winery owner, Josephine Tychson, is another historic winery still thriving to this day. Freemark Abbey has had a rich history of winemakers since it has been passed from one owner to the next. In 1949, Freemark Abbey’s first tasting room was opened. Mostly known for their exquisite Cabernets, Freemark Abbey is constantly evolving to showcase their wide selection of rich reds, and tasteful whites.
