Charles Thomas has thorough wine related repertoire under his belt and has been involved as an avid winemaker since the 1980s. He headed the Robert Mondavi Reserve from the 1980s to 1994, including the very first Opus One vintages. He heads Cornerstone Cellars in order to bring that knowledge to the wines they produce. Kari is a hands-on winemaker and ensures only the most quality wines get into the hands of the public. Kari was taught under winemaker Celia Welch, who was Cornerstone’s previous winemaking leader from 2000 to 2007. The products made by Cornerstone come from sustainable farming practices and organic sources. Cornerstone has received many marks of appreciation from wine critics Robert Parker, Wine Enthusiast, and Wine Spectator.
